By now, you’re more than likely aware of the 27-year-old man who sent Nintendo multiple bombshells and death threats late last year, around the time Nintendo Live Tokyo was scheduled to take place. The man has since been arrested and charged with threats and is on trial.
Well, the verdict in his trial is in. The man was sentenced to one year in prison, and 4 years suspended. A statement from a Nintendo employee was read in court, saying the threats scared them and reminded them of the 2019 arson attack at Kyoto Animation Studio 1 that killed 36 people and injured 34 others.
