Capcom has announced that it has sold a whopping 100 million copies of the Monster Hunter series so far as the beloved Japanese franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary. Monster Hunter World and its Iceborn expansion remain the most successful games in the series, selling more than a million units each year in the seven years since release. Monster Hunter World has now sold over 25 million units worldwide. Monster Hunter Rise and its Sunbreak Expansion have also performed well, selling over 2 million units per year since each was released. Monster Hunter Rise has sold over 15 million units, and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has surpassed 8 million units. The next game in the series is Monster Hunter Wilds, which should be released next year.
