“Neva” is the next game of Nomada Studiothe creators of Grisan indie game that stood out for its artistic beauty and emotional narrative, Neva follows the same emotional and visual line that made its predecessor so popular.
The game tells the story of Albaa young woman who must learn to deal with loss and personal growth in a devastated world.
In an interview with Eurogamerthey highlighted that one of the main points was the intention to create a deeply emotional experience, just as they did with Gris:
“We want Neva to be an experience about loss, but also about hope and rebirth. The story is about learning to let gobut also about Resilience and how to find beauty even in difficult times.”
As for the relationship between the charactersthey mentioned:
“The connection between the protagonist and the wolf is the heart of the game“We want players to experience the vulnerability of both of them and how they support each other to survive in this hostile world.”
A technical levelthey explained that they have expanded their skills as a studio, using their previous experience to improve both mechanics and narrative. Neva promises to be an emotionally impactful game, following in the footsteps of Gris, but with a most ambitious proposalThrough evocative art and wordless narrative, the studio seeks to strike a chord and immerse players in a unique visual and emotional experience.
Neva is scheduled to to be launched on October 15, 2024. The game will be available on multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch y Xbox Series X|S.
