The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo have announced that Pokémon HOME, a cloud service designed as a place where all Pokémon can gather, will be updated to version 3.0.0 on May 23, 2023.
Compatibility between Pokémon HOME, the Pokémon Scarlet game, and the Pokémon Violet game is included in this update. Once players connect their game to Pokémon HOME, they will be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet to Pokémon HOME and bring selected Pokémon from other games to the Paldea region. By transferring Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet to Pokémon HOME for the first time, players will be able to receive Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly with hidden abilities as mystery gifts in the mobile version of Pokémon HOME.
The most important update to version 3.0.0
- Convert Pokémon HOME Points to LP (League Points): Players will be able to exchange Pokémon HOME Points, which they earn based on the number of Pokémon in their boxes, for LP that they can use in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games.
- See game details: Players will be able to change a Pokémon’s summary page to display information from other games the Pokémon has been in. Additionally, in the mobile version of Pokémon HOME, the summary page of a Pokémon transferred from the Pokémon Bank will now display its stats and information as it was in the Pokémon Bank.
- Changing moves: From version 3.0.0 onwards, when you bring a Pokémon from Pokémon HOME into a connected game, players will be able to change the moves it knows from the list of moves it has learned up to that point. This will allow players to have their Pokémon know the moves before moving it out of Pokémon HOME.
- Added challenges and stickers: By completing certain challenges in the mobile version of Pokémon HOME, you can receive stickers as a reward. You can use the resulting stickers to customize your profile, so be sure to complete all kinds of challenges to create a design that’s unique to you!
- Bring Along Gimmighoul (Roaming form): Players will be able to import Gimmighoul (Roaming Form) from Pokémon GO into Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet via Pokémon HOME.
