Last year was an emotional one for Pokemon anime fans. The decades-long journey of the main protagonist of the series, Ash Ketchum, has come to an end. Liko and Roy are now the new heroes of the anime, but The Pokemon Company does not rule out that Ash will appear one day.
You see, Variety recently did an interview with Andy Gose, Senior Director of Media Production for The Pokémon Company International, as well as Vice President of Marketing Taito Okiura. When asked if Ash will reappear one day, Gose said that “we said goodbye. Ashes are still in the world. Anything is possible, I guess. There are so many possibilities in the world of Pokémon”.
Okiura also spoke about this, saying that “we hope that Ash and Pikachu will continue their journey. Their journey is underway somewhere in the world of Pokémon. Everything depends on the imagination of our fans. For now, we’d like to focus on the new Liko and Roy story. Horizons call for a new beginning”.
