A few days ago it was discovered a bug in Pokémon Sword and Shield that allowed players to force a disconnect in combat to manipulate your balance of wins and losses during tournaments.
So today The Pokémon Company has spoken in this regard, highlighting that a small number of players have been taking advantage of this vulnerability in an abusive way and that, if they continue to do so, measures will be taken as strict as banning them permanently of the online features of the titles.

We have been able to confirm that a number of players have been disconnecting from the internet to alter their record of wins and losses in bouts and online tournaments.
From now on, if we conclude that a player is abusing this bug for their own benefit, we won't think twice about temporarily or even permanently expelling those players from the online game available in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
