Capcom is gearing up for its 20th anniversary Monster hunter for a while now, and today’s New Year’s video message from series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto gives some hints about what’s in store for 2024.
To be clear, the message isn’t chock-full of information about the anniversary plans, though Tsujimoto does confirm that the fan-favorite monster voting results will be released to mark the occasion this March. We can also expect to see new artwork featuring the three most popular monsters.

As expected, Tsujimoto’s message also touches on the newly announced Monster Hunter Wilds which was revealed at TGA 2023, stating that a new title update is coming this summer — although Nintendo’s release has still not been announced.
Also mentioned are sales figures for Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter: World, which now have 13 million and 23 million units sold respectively. This is the same milestone for Rise as Capcom shared last yearalthough the numbers had to slow down at some point and 13 million is still nothing to scoff at.
In short, then, Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary currently features poll results, artwork, and some merch tie-ins. Does Capcom have anything else in the pipeline? We guess we’ll find out in the next few months.
