Trainers can encounter Stellar Form Terapagos, the result of Terapagos’ terastral energy becoming abnormally amplified, in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, an exciting DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch systems via the Nintendo eShop.
Terapagos takes this form when it comes into contact with the Tera Orb while in its Terastral form. This is thought to cause an abnormal amplification of Terapagos terrastal energy.
Trainers can also learn about the Stellar Tera Type, the 19th Tera Type with the power of all types, in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
The Stellar Tera type behaves differently from all other Tera types. It is important to use the right Tera Type for the right situation. In addition to affecting Tera Blast, Stellar Tera Type also affects type matchups differently. For other Tera types, once a Pokémon is terrastalized, its Tera type determines the type match. However, with the Stellar Tera type, the Pokémon’s original type or types continue to determine type matchups.
During their adventure, trainers will come across Stellar Tera Shards. They can take them to the Treasure Eatery in Medala in the Paldea region and they will be able to change their Pokémon’s Tera type to Stellar.
