An interesting message comes back to us from one of the most prominent games of the moment among users who often play Nintendo Switch. This has been published recently and focuses again on Shin Megami Tensei V.
This time we can hear some interesting statements about the localization process of the game. As you know, it was released practically simultaneously all over the world, and from Siliconera have been able to ask the editor John Moralis how was this development.

Shin Megami Tensei V ended up getting an almost simultaneous release, so what did this mean to you and the localization process?
John Moral, Atlus: The more we work alongside the actual content being written in Japan, the more flexible we need to be. They are making changes to the text as we carefully study it, edit it, and try to get the fundamental truths and themes of the Japanese script into our heads. Sometimes those cuts mean that the team has to discard lines or sequences that interested us but, above all, we are there to bring your text and your decisions to life. Also, the benefit of working so closely with the developers was that we had a lot more opportunities to make sure both teams were on the same page about the intent of the story and the script.
