Specifically, in the last Nintendo Direct, we learned that Nintendo is going to launch basketball for the game this summer. Then its date was confirmed: Arriving this Wednesday, July 10, 2024It is now available alongside version 1.5.0, and thanks to it we have learned that an external developer has collaborated on this patch.
Through the patch, it has been confirmed that Eightingthe team responsible for bringing Pikmin 3 Deluxe to Switch and co-developing Pikmin 4 with Nintendo, has also been involved in this update.
Basketball thus arrives at Spocco Square in Nintendo Switch Sports via a free update. Players can use motion controls to shoot as many shots as possible within the time limit in the 3-point contest. Those looking for some friendly competition will be pleased to know that up to four people can play locally in 5-on-5 and 3-point battles, and players can dribble, pass and shoot in 2-on-2 matches both locally and online.
