Undoubtedly, there are games that seem to have no end by feeding on constant updates that delight their most assiduous players. Thus, thanks to an interview given by SJ Mueller Comicbook.com, we have been able to get new details about the latest in a game that meets these conditions, which is none other than DC Universe Online, the online multiplayer title set in the universe of Superman, Batman and company that was received on the hybrid console just a few months ago.
Specifically, the developer has talked about the slightly less dark tone of the new chapter dedicated to Birds of Prey within the title, which contrasts a lot with the others that the game has been receiving:
What I love the most about this episode is its departure from the darker tone of another episode we received last year, which was pretty cool and groundbreaking, and it had a ton of crazy stuff inside it, but it turned out to be pretty dark. So this episode is designed to be a little bit more fun and lighthearted; I mean, you have Harley Quinn as headliner, accompanied by Black Canary as well as Poison Ivy. We are talking about very exciting characters. Yes, Huntress may be a bit grim, but it all seemed to fit between the cast. As you were saying, right now we are in a difficult situation in the real world. So when we announced Birds of Prey and put their content on the test server, our players loved how funny everything was. That made it feel good to just connect and have a slightly more joyous adventure than usual. I mean, the universe is at a crossroads, but it's always cool to have fun while saving it!
On the other hand, he did not want to waste the opportunity to discuss their plans for the tenth anniversary of the title, which will be soon enough. Specifically, it ruled with the following:
Oh, the truth is that I still can't talk about it, but I certainly think that this tenth anniversary is going to be an incredible year for the game, and of course we are not going to slow down. Also, both myself and one of our chief producers have a number of features in mind that we believe will seriously improve your day-to-day in-game, and make you feel so much more modernized. However, we still cannot go into detail about any of this, but I personally am very excited about the future of DC Universe Online.
What do you think? Do you guys play this title? Do not hesitate to leave it in the comments!
