We bring an interesting video related to one of the most outstanding games in the Nintendo Switch catalog. We are talking in this case about Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
After knowing how to unlock all the characters, now we get statements from the director Hayato Iwata about the decision that Byleth be the antagonist in this title, after he was the protagonist in Three Houses. This is how he explained it to IGN
We had the writer of Three Houses also in charge of the script for this title. So when I talked to this writer, I discussed the following point: ‘Although Byleth represents the player, he at the same time is also one of the attractive characters. So making Byleth an antagonist is a necessary development to further bring out the character’s charm.”
The producer Yosuke Hayashi
We thought that the main theme of Three Houses was ‘the conflicts that arise from the clash of beliefs of the characters’ but among the characters, the only one who did not have such a conflict was Byleth. This is quite natural as Byleth is the main character and is a character for which the selected path is always rendered as the correct form. In Three Hopes, we decided to portray Byleth as the antagonist because we wanted to further explore this theme. In doing so, we thought we could make players experience ‘the conflicts that arise from the clash of beliefs of the characters’ in both Three Houses and Three Hopes.
