Update (Wed 5th Feb, 2020 10:00 GMT): We have now received an answer about To the Moonthe disappearance of the Nintendo Shop last month. In a statement provided to Nintendo Life, X.D. The network shared the following:
"The reason for Maye being dropped from the Nintendo EU Shop is that EU regional ratings were changed after release. Nintendo has notified us and submitted a new book that will change ratings during the holidays."
Thankfully, that patch is now past the review phase and To The Moon is now available again on the Shop switch. If they were hoping to get your hands on it, we would we definitely recommend that you do so now that you have the opportunity. It actually made it into our top three Switch Shop games for January, too.
Original story (Wed 22nd Jan, 2020 11:15 GMT): Last week the surprise was announced To the Moon on Nintendo Switch across Europe and North America. We couldn't recommend enough of our reviews, but European fans can now have a hard time putting their hands on it.
The game was released on January 16 and has been on the Switch in the Shop ever since. Exploring the digital store today, however, reveals that the game has mysteriously disappeared in Europe, while still being completely available in North America. I mean page
Now what happened here? Usually, when we see a game disappear like this, the problem of ratings or the like is almost self-defeating. That may be the case here, but the game publisher has never dealt with the disappearance of the game on social media or the press release in any form or form. For now, the only way for fans in Europe to access the game is by using an account from a different region, although it's worth noting that the game can still be played if you download it before it disappears.
We reached the X.D. The network, the publisher of the game, inquires about the disappearance of the game. We will make sure to revise this article for any comments we make in response.
