Update #2 []: After Toree Saturn's delay last month, developer Siactro has now released a brand new gameplay trailer featuring the soundtrack Blackbird Down (Toree Saturn OST) by KB. This game will arrive on Switch and PC “early 2025”.

Update #1 []:

Although Toree Saturn was supposed to arrive this year on Switch, developer Siactro has announced that the game has now been delayed until early 2025. The quality would apparently “suffer a lot” if it was released next month. Here is the message in full:

“I'm sorry, but I have to postpone Toree Saturn to early 2025. A December release was possible, but the quality would suffer a lot. I worked with some really amazing people on this and I will not treat their work with a low quality release, I'm so sorry! “

We'll let you know when we get an updated release date!

Original story:

New trailer and PC demo for the upcoming release Toree Saturn have been announced, and developer Siactro has also reconfirmed that a new entry will arrive at some point in 2024. This latest update also mentions the Nintendo Switch release.

When this new project was originally announced last September, there was no Nintendo announcement at the time, so here we go!

Here's a sneak peek at what to expect from the latest entry in this speed-based 3D platformer series (via Steam):

“Run through linear levels from point A to B with the double jumping bird while dodging enemies, collecting stars (if you want) and getting all sorts of little speed boosts along the way.”

– Toree has two new moves! The player can now use ground dash in mid-air to descend faster and gain a speed boost when hitting the ground, as well as targeting special stars to gain height and movement boosts.

– New look! Toree Saturns art style tries to be a combination of late 90's 3D with some of the crazier looks of the early Y2K era. It's like a natural evolution of the art style of the previous games… I hope.

– Controlling Toree just got a lot easier!
No more Run-Buttons, which means players don't have to hold down the right trigger for years.
Most actions (except the ground dash trigger) only use the Jump button.
Ground Dash performs your controller's now released right trigger (LMB if K&M)
