The least peculiar news related to Ubisoft. It seems that the company deletes inactive user accounts, and with them go all their games.
Specifically, it has been confirmed that Ubisoft is closing accounts for prolonged inactivity. As you can imagine, this has generated concern among users. The PC_enjoyer Twitter account has confirmed this information by showing an email from Ubisoft notifying that an account would be “permanently closed” after 30 days of inactivity.
This is just horrifying.
Ubisoft CONFIRMS they will delete your account & purchased games if you go inactive for too long!!!
Ubisoft.. WTF?! Another example of why I’m becoming more & more concerned with the death of physical games. pic.twitter.com/4MD7yYwUFM

Although the veracity of the email was questioned, Ubisoft confirmed the authenticity of the message and provided instructions to avoid account closure. The exact length of time an account can remain inactive before being suspended was not disclosed.
The practice, which is not mentioned in Ubisoft’s terms of use or its end-user license agreement, has been called hostile to customers. This is in contrast to other digital distribution platforms that do not perform this action. Many users turn to platforms like Ubisoft Connect o Ubisoft only when necessary, and these intermediary platforms do not make things easy.
In addition, many fans have protested that this action seems to compromise not only the personal libraries of the users, but also the preservation of video games in general. The company has not offered any further details in this regard, so we will continue to look out for any other details to be confirmed.
What do you think?
