The latest video game software and hardware charts have come through for the month of March. The No.1 console for the month was the Xbox Series X|S consoles, which saw additional stock come through. The Nintendo Switch family of systems were the second best-selling systems, but sales are down 21% month-on-month. Despite the drop in sales for the Nintendo Switch family of systems, it remains the No.1 platform for 2022, so far. Sony’s PlayStation 5 console was the third best-selling system, though it continues suffering from shortages. The best-selling game for the month of March was the critically acclaimed Elden Ring.
“Xbox Series X and S saw the biggest increase in sales during March, up 61% compared with February. Microsoft’s family of consoles were the best-selling devices in March, which was helped by the arrival of more Series X stock.”
