Inti Creates, the developer behind the highly anticipated side-scrolling action game Umbraclaw, has made an exciting announcement. The game, initially planned for a PC release on Steam, will also launch on Nintendo Switch. This news was revealed alongside the release of the game’s first trailer, as well as new information and screenshots. Umbraclaw follows the story of Kuon, a brave cat who navigates the afterlife called the Soulplane in his quest to return home to his master. Directed by Satoru Nishizawa, known for his work on Blaster Master Zero, Umbraclaw showcases the feline’s unexpected heroism and coolness. The game has a stunning art style that combines enchanting visuals with a hint of darkness, perfectly reflecting its intriguing narrative.

The addition of the Nintendo Switch edition opens up even more opportunities for players to experience the amazing journey of Kuon. Participants of the upcoming BitSummit Let’s Go!! event will have the chance to play Switch demos at the Inti Creates booth, providing a taste of the game’s unique mechanics and atmosphere. During the game, players will have to use Kuon’s special abilities, such as “Shadowstep” and “Anima Revive,” to overcome the various dangers of the Soulplane. “Shadowstep” allows Kuon to weave his way through enemies and their attacks, providing a means of evasion. However, this depletes his stamina with each use. On the other hand, “Anima Revive” gives Kuon a second chance at life, imbuing him with new skills gained from absorbing animal souls.
