Comic Book recently spoke with Universal Studios Creative Vice President Jon Corfin about the upcoming opening of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood. Mr. Corfino explained to the site that Nintendo’s legendary game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, was instrumental in the attraction’s design and theme, with Mr. Miyamoto helping every step of the way. Corfino concluded by saying that “it was a great collaborative project.”
“The partnership with Nintendo has been absolutely fantastic. Miyamoto-san was a part of this every step of the way. It was a real pleasure. I’ve been working on this project for five or six years, at least. It goes back to the very beginning along with the creative studio people who helped develop and design this. So it was a great collaborative project.”
