US NPD February 2022: Switch best-selling hardware, Xbox Series No.2, PS5 No.3

United States sales tracker, The NPD Group, has released the video games software and hardware sales data for the month of February. The Nintendo Switch family of systems were the best-selling in terms of dollar sales and units sold. The Switch was followed by the Xbox Series X|S consoles and Sony’s PlayStation 5, both of which are continuing to suffer from shortages. The acclaimed Elden Ring proved to be the best-selling game in February and it is also the best-selling game of 2022 so far in the United States. Sony’s PlayStation 5 remains the best-selling system of 2022 so far in terms of dollar sales and the Nintendo Switch family of systems are the best-selling systems for units sold.
