A new adventure blooms like Pikmin 4 runs for Nintendo Switch today on I Nintendo Store and at selected retailers. On an unusual distant planet, a group of space travelers are stranded and waiting for rescue. As the newest recruit to the Rescue Corps, players receive SOS signals from travelers and explore an uncharted world inhabited by a strange group of creatures. Fortunately, some of them are friends, not enemies. Together with Pikmin, lively helpers who may be short in stature but boast strength in numbers, players will explore, search for treasure in vast areas, fight wild creatures, solve puzzles and rescue stranded travelers.
Pikmin can be bred, collected, and guided to solve tasks large and small, and they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. For example, Red Pikmin are resistant to fire and boast powerful attacks, the newly discovered Ice Pikmin can cool things down by freezing enemies, bodies of water, and more, and the strange new Glow Pikmin that thrive in the dark can stun enemies with the light it emits. Oatchi, the adorable Rescue pup, will also join the adventure.
This trusty companion can break obstacles, transport heavy objects, and carry the player and a whole host of Pikmin on its back.
The mission is to defend structures that contain luminous juice, a precious substance that enemy creatures are eager to capture. Dandori Battles will put everyone’s organizational and effective skills to the test – either solo or against another player on the same console. In these battles, players try to collect more items than their opponents within a time limit in order to win and save the castaway. A free Nintendo eShop demo for Pikmin 4 is also available, allowing players to immerse themselves in this floral adventure. Any progress can be transferred to the full game after its release.
