Yooka-Replaylee is on its way to Nintendo platforms in the future, and the development team at Playtonic is sharing more information about the remaster.

In the latest update, Game Director Gavin Price sat down with Playtonic's Senior Community Manager Steve James to demo Glitterglace Glazier and discuss the changes to this specific level compared to the original version in Yooka-Laylee.

Price also talks about the various changes made to the game since the release of this demo. Here's a sneak peek, courtesy of PR:

New color of Coinelius coins — Coinelius, the useful piggy bank and new character release for Yooka-Replaylee has already seen a change with his beautiful platinum coins stealing the golden hues of Per because…

Level-specific nibs — Giving up their golden coat to Coinelius Coins, feathers now come in a variety of colors as they become specific to the level the player is currently on. Why is that so? Because our wily salesman Trowzer has gotten pickier over the years.

New Trowzer merchandise — The role of the Trowzer is fundamentally changing at Yooka-Replaylee with a completely new set of products to sell. We are not yet ready to reveal what kind of goods it is.

All moves from the beginning — In one of the bigger changes to the game, and why the role of our beloved salesman has changed, players will have access to Yooka and Laylee's full arsenal of moves from the start of the game.

Collectible new Pagie pieces — A new collectible has joined the roster in the form of Pagie pieces. Collecting them will unlock additional bonuses.

Levels available in the “expanded” phase from the very beginning — In another change to the original Yooka-Laylee, levels will now be available in their entirety from the start.

The team also mentions that next year will mark Playtonic Games' 10th anniversary and can't wait to share “a lot more” about Yooka-Replaylee “in the coming months” for this special occasion.
