Blade Runner: Extended Edition, a 1997 "modernization" of Westwood Studios, will be released on Nintendo switchch and other platforms, announced.
Nightdive Studios has partnered with Alcon Entertainment to make this release better, bringing the first-game adventure to new viewers. What was originally praised for the successful recreation of the sci-fi world found in the 1982 film Ridley Scott, it presents a new story that is in line with the film's framework.
The Enhanced Edition will feature "animated character models and animated images, increased cutscenes using machine learning algorithms, comprehensive resolution support, keyboard and customization controls and much more", but the team behind its creation is determined to see that look and feel. the game is saved.
Nightdive CEO Stephen Kick shared the following in a press release:
"Blade Runner it's still a jaw-dropping success for all grades, so while we use KEX to enlarge the artwork and respectfully elevate the gaming experience you've never seen before, we still treasure Westeplay's vision with Westwood in all its glory. While you can enjoy the benefits of playing this game on modern hardware, the game should look and feel like it, but it's as glorious as you remember it. "
KEX is a Nightdive-related game engine that has been used to restore a number of similar ancient games Panic System: Advanced System, Turok, Turok 2: The Seed of Evil, Blood, again Left Talked.
No written or visual content (other than the logo tease above) has been shared so far, but the release of the game is expected to arrive in 2020. More details will be shared over time.
