There’s only one thing I’ll be playing this weekend, and that’s DOOM + DOOM II. I saved the free upgrade to Switch because I already owned both titles separately, but only by myself had to buy it on PS5 to get some of that lovely 120fps gameplay.
The updated soundtrack is also great. I didn’t think I’d be able to move away from the classic original, but it really takes the experience to a whole new level. I’ve only played the OG games so far, but this weekend, I’m hoping to dive into a brand new campaign: Legacy of Rust.

I currently have a few games on the go, Nier: Automata and Half-life: Blue Shift to name a few, but a few nights ago Zelda The craze has caught me and now I’m playing The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening again.
I was really excited to play the remake a second time, and I thought it would be especially fun to do it in Hero Mode. I was even more confused when I discovered that I had already passed my first game on that harder difficulty.
I don’t care, I guess I’ll be delighted with Koholint for the fifteenth time if you include the original, and this time I’m going 100%. I’m doing it for Marin.

I’m working my way, slowly, steadily, through World of Goo 2. The original is one of my favorite games of all time, so I’m fighting the urge to get through this one and then have no new Goo. I’m on chapter 2 right now and absolutely loving it.
Elsewhere I picked up Mushimesama on sale right before it was delisted. Shmups is a huge gap in my gaming knowledge, so I can’t wait to start filling it with the best of the best. We’ll see how I do!

This weekend I want to finish the GRIS I started earlier this week.
It’s me love so far it’s brought tears to my eyes, and playing it with headphones and getting completely immersed in the game is a surreal experience!

The Switch is packed and ready to go, complete with a legendary backlog of titles released this year alone. That’s right, it’s time for my long and belated annual offline vacation where I’ll spend equal amounts of time playing video games, making music, reading comics, and being the best Ken I can be (all he does is beach).
This weekend is about everything SteamWorld Heist IIthe sequel to a personal favorite in the series. I didn’t expect DOOM+DOOM II to appear out of nowhere with 16 player, cross-play co-op support, reminding me of past LAN parties with friends. I would love to play Trinity Fusionbut all the game does (so far) is crash on the dashboard after loading the guide. Of course Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown – Deluxe Edition is still on the menu (those aces won’t collapse). sad Cat’s Quest 3 (physically) did not arrive on time.
It’s the game of the week Völgarr Viking II. Being a huge fan of the original and its inspiration truth
That’s what we have planned for the weekend, what about you? You can let us know which game you’ll be running in the following poll, then share what else you have on your cards in the comments.
