Just like everyone else this week, I'm on the last race for 2024. I've got Loco Motive to finish. I want to check out Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. I should really switch to Splatoon 3 then: Side Order.
So why (why) is my brain telling me to play a few more hands of Balatra before the year is up? Why?

The crazy game of the year continues as I play Lorelei and more Tales of Kenzera: ZAU this weekend. I'm also eager to try Nine Sols.
Outside of that? Plus, resist the temptation to try out Ode to Castlevania or fire up Balatro again. If I did anything it would be the end of the year and probably part of next year!

I feel like I'm in the final race to experience the best that 2024 has to offer. Right now, my partner and I are just finishing up Slay the Princess, which I think is mostly brilliant, but is a bit heavy on the messages towards the end.
Next on the list is Nine Sols, a game I've been very excited to play since it dropped on Steam. I'm very happy to see that it works mostly well on the Switch, so we'll see if I'm banging my head against the wall next weekend. Last time, I was checking out Infinity Nikki on PS5. God, can you sense the BOTW pedigree here. Shame about the gacha, but it's super cute.

It could be a long weekend for me, but 'long' only in the sense that there are games have play. It's a tough old job, isn't it?
Besides that [redacted]no doubt I'll be diving into some more wonderful times in RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic. Seriously, these games are a quarter of a century old and they haven't aged one day in terms of their playability. Read my review if you need more convincing or I'll make fun of your lack of fun – you want.

I've played a lot of review games, and it's damn hard on the Switch. He honestly made me cry at times. I'm sure this will all go into the review!
Also, Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I'm at the point where I have to decide who to cuddle, and it's hard! I don't feel as in love with any of them as I usually do with those games. I top is overconfident and it's weird! She's too flirtatious! I don't feel represented!!!!

A shocking development when Abathor reveals Chapter 8. Will I see the end this weekend? I still need to properly explore Nine Sols, but Crystal Breaker and Raiden Nova are stupidly addictive. I'm also almost done with gameplay footage from The Spectrum, finally here Target: Renegadeby far one of my most played games in retrospect because I was able to play it with my best friend. It was fun to go back to the mean 8-bit streets where I grew up. I should probably play more games, but I just realized that Christmas is around the corner, the year will end, and I still have music to do before it's all over.
I game of the week renews my long relationship with Lin since 2018: Fitness Boxing 3. It might be the best entry in the series yet! A health issue meant I had to stop training last year, but there's no reason not to get back into it, probably in combination with Ring Fit Adventure and my stationary bike. Has anyone seen my water bottle?
