This week I started playing this niche game called Super Metroid (you may have heard of it) in the NSO SNES library. I was only supposed to play a few minutes, but here I am, a few days later, on the road against Ridley. I’ve never beaten a game before so it’s all new to me so far and I have to say (hot warning) it’s real, really good.
If I can finish that one, I will most likely continue The Last of Us Remastered. Again, this is the first time I’ve had a chance to play this an outrageous little indie titleand I wanted at least some game time before the series started.

I STILL watch my partner play this weekend Outdoor wildernessI’m STILL perfecting my headshots MGSV, and I just discovered the amazing Stacklands on Steam Deck. Unfortunately, that means my Switch is taking a bit of a nap — although I just finished (and highly recommend) Beacon Pines and South of the Circle, both of which are on Switch. Busy weekend!

I’ve already won two games this year, which isn’t bad at all! Sure, I started one last year, but shhh. Next on my list is something I wanted to play for age – Disco Elysium: The Final Cut. I got a physical copy on Switch for a bargain price and couldn’t pass it up, and I’m super excited to finally find out what it’s all about.
I’ll also be juggling a few smaller things on the side – I’m going back to Ghost Song and trying some Final Fantasy XIV before giving up on subtitles for a bit – but mostly I’ll be relaxing with a book or catching up on some AGDQ series like Neon White, Celeste, Ocarina of Time and Fashion Police Squad. I promise that the last a real

I won’t be playing too much this weekend, because Saturday is my daughter’s first birthday, so all my attention will be on her! We will play a lot Peekaboo, This little pigand Tummy timebut probably no Switch games…not yet anyway.
However, on Sunday I might dive into Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider and give it a few passes. It’s a nice, short experience, so I’m confident I can squeeze in a few 10 minute sessions here and there!

I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic for some classics lately Pokémon games after the interesting experience that was Scarlet and Violet. I missed the highlights of Game Freak making games that were clean, detailed, and well thought out – and that led me to pull out some of my favorites: Pokémon Yellow (thanks for helping me find a good deal on the manual, Zion !), Crystal , Emerald, Alpha Sapphire, SoulSilver and Black – to name a few. And those games still held their magic for me, even today. We highly recommend going back to the Pokémon archives, especially if you’ve also been a little disappointed by the latest entries in the series. Now you will appreciate the classics even more.
We hope you enjoyed reading! Add a game you’ll be running to the poll below and leave a comment with your gaming plans for the weekend ahead!
