Yes, for me this weekend will be all about Brotherhood. I’ve only scratched the surface so far, but I really like what I’m seeing! It hasn’t reached the heights of the Superstar Saga for me yet, but I’ll keep going as long as I have this stupid big grin on my face.
I might speed through another stage or two of Sonic X Shadow Generations if I have time, but honestly, I’m all about else Olympic champion this weekend.

I’m breaking through this weekend Dragon Age: The Veilguardwhich isn’t all I wanted, but it’s still a lot of fun. I’m also jotting down all the lines that make me roll my eyes and read like a list of the worst Hollywood clichés — “well, that just happened,” “we’ve got company,” “it’s quiet… too quiet” — I honestly can’t believe they put this many bad sentences into a game series known for good writing!
I played too [REDACTED] on the eve of its (still unknown) release, and my God, what a game! You will love it. I have no idea if it will come to Switch, but I hope it does.

“Water damage”. These are about the scariest words in the dictionary when you’re filling out an insurance claim for what used to be the contents of my living room, or game room where over forty years of my life as a gamer was stored and displayed. But early last week, the rain pouring down outside became a waterfall pouring from the ceiling into my video game collection. Tragedy? Certainly. Yet when you look around the world, you eventually realize that it was “just stuff”. No amount of water, fire or alien invasion will ever destroy the memories of the things you grew up with, even if their material form disappears. It’s time to move on.
I game of the week is obviously Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood (hilariously translated in a neighboring country as “Conexión Fraternal”). Just another quality Nintendo first Switch game on the shelf, right? Well, this one comes with a somewhat “heavy” bonus: Brotherhood is the 1,000th physical video game in my collection. As I look back on nearly eight years of my life, I can’t help but be humbled by how lucky I was to go through the excruciating hardships in the company of Nintendo’s hybrid cultural phenomena. Video games, huh? How many lives have they touched and, yes, even saved? Let’s continue this journey together.

I think there’s only one game for me this weekend, and that’s Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood. Honestly, I really like this style of Mario game. I used to love Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga — hell, I still play it now and then. So have a new Mario & Luigi game? Oh man, I’m spoiled.
Someone should probably check on me on Sunday night; I may need to be taken off the Switch by that point.
Anyway, happy gaming, folks!
That’s what we have planned for the weekend, what about you? Let us know in the next poll which games you plan to launch in the next few days.
