We continue to receive exciting content for fans who are really looking forward to this release. To liven up the wait, it has recently been published a compilation of reasons why the sequel was absent in the Game Awards 2021
The list you have below includes some possible reasons not officially confirmed they offer from ScreenRant about this absence. They are as follows:
- Nintendo has usually used the Game Awards for announcements of already released games or completely new announcements, something that does not fit with this sequel.
- This type of highly anticipated news has usually been saved for the Nintendo Direct.
- It is likely that in the coming months there will be a Nintendo Direct with news of the sequel and other titles from 2022 and 2023.
- They also believe that the premiere of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, scheduled for January 28, 2022, is conditioning the arrival of news. The goal would be for the two games not to compare or compete with each other.
