World of Goo 2, the recently released sequel to the 2008 Nintendo Wii classic, will get a physical version for Switch on October 29th. Publisher Fireshine Games announced the good news via email press release, and Brian Foote, its Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), shared a few words about the announcement:
“We’re so excited to be working with 2D BOY to release a physical version of World of Goo 2. World of Goo 2 oozes personality and fun, and we’re excited to bring the game to even more Nintendo Switch players who are looking to add this to your physical collection.”
The first World of Goo is said to be one of the first indie games to really make a name for itself – its physics-based puzzle solving and gooey gameplay earned it both critical and commercial success upon release, along with a final port in 2017.
And with its sequel now available digitally on the Switch eShop, and with a physical release on the way, fans of the original can finally experience a whole new adventure in the World of Goo.
