If you love wrestling, then Yuke’s name will become familiar right away. The Japanese development team was involved in some of the most dramatic challenges ever undertaken, including New Japan Pro Wrestling: Toukon Retsuden, WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw and, more recently, official WWE games until publisher 2K delivered improvements to Visual Concepts Assistant.
At a special event to announce the launch of the AEW video game division, Omega – the Executive Vice President of wrestling uniforms – unveiled the first photos of the game wearing a Steve Jobs style dress. Omega explains that he wanted to be a part of the company’s video game division from day one, and that he hopes the upcoming game will follow in the footsteps of fans with “fun” titles. The game comes with “current and future consoles”, meaning Switch came in with a shot; the display shown certainly looks like it can be faithfully reprinted on Nintendo’s machine, at least.
The last of the WWE major games to come to the switch was WWE 2K18, but we also have a simple heart WWE 2K battlefields since then.
