One of the main video games we are still waiting to see is Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate which Square Enix announced in May 2021. As today is Dragon Quest Day, the creator of the Dragon Quest series, Yuji Horii, announced on social media the media platform X and shared a brief update on his plans for the highly anticipated game.
“Thank you very much to everyone for the many things [Dragon Quest Day] Congratulations! There were some concerns about Dragon Quest XII, but I was actually in a meeting [about it] until a while ago. Although I can’t share any details yet, I want it to be something worthy of the posthumous work of these two [Akira Toriyama and Koichi Sugiyama] who passed away. I’ll try!”
