Original article [Tue 7th May, 2024 01:30 BST]:

It’s been almost a year since The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom arrived and new rumors have surfaced that Nintendo might be up to something.

The Nintendo Everything website says an “official soundtrack release for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” has been reported in Japan to coincide with the game’s first anniversary May 12, 2024.

Here’s exactly what the source had to say:

“Based on leaked information, the album will be available in Japan at the end of July. Fans will be able to download it either as a standard version or as a limited edition. The Japanese label [Nippon] Columbia will publish.”

Nintendo and Nippon Columbia made a similar soundtrack announcement for Breath of the Wild’s first anniversary.

When Tears of the Kingdom debuted on Switch last year, we called it a triumphant sequel to one of the best video games of all time, giving it an outstanding rating.
