The critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received a new software update today that brings the game to version 1.2.0. Players will now be able to receive in-game items from the Nintendo Switch News channel on their Switch console, although this will depend on where you are in the game. There are also several fixes for the game along with general fixes that help improve the gaming experience. without further ado, here are the full patch notes:
General updates
- By launching the game from certain articles published on a specific Switch News channel (accessed via the HOME menu), players can obtain a number of in-game items.
- Depending on gameplay progress or the location where the data is reopened, there may be cases where items cannot be received.
Additional fixes
- Fixed an issue where players could not progress beyond a certain point in the main quests “A Istery in the Depths” and “Secret of the Ring Ruins”, the side adventures “Hateno Village Research Lab” and “Lurelin Village Restoration Project”, the quest for shrine “Coloring to Find” and the side quests “Village Attacked by Pirates”, “Incomplete Barn” and “Finding the Pirate’s Hideout”. Downloading the update will allow players to continue beyond that point.
- Fixed an issue that prevented fairies from spawning under certain conditions when they were originally supposed to spawn.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Kiana from Lurelin Village from changing meals under certain conditions.
- Several issues have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience.
