Motherboard Board Builder, GIGABYTE, it was last month of January, registering new mid-sized AMD Ryzen motherboards, for a new build ChipD AM5 B550. This new chipset will be the perfect version that AMD is built for enthusiasts, in all that the first mid-range chipset will use PCIe 4.0 bus of its elements.
As we know, AMD has two translations for the B550 chip:
- a simplified version, it's called B550A, which only supports PCIe 3.0 and is what the manufacturer currently sells to OEM integrators.
- another version, in this case complete, is called B550, It is thought that it will support the new PCIe 4.0 data bus, and that it will go to lovers and DIY users.
It's the latest version that most users expect to use AMD Ryzen 3000 processors, given that the price of current motherboards with the AMD X570 chip is a barrier to most PC users.
Up to 12 new models with AMD B550 chipset registered with GIGABYTE and ECC
When this was officially launched chipset by AMD, GIGABYTE has registered several models of motherboards that should use this chipset. Up to 12 of these new boards are for the manufacturer to register with ECC (Eurasian Commerce Cometee), a regulatory body where manufacturers must register products before they can be sold in the Euro market.

There are 12 models registered by name, we see that there is a model that, in all probability, will have ITX mini form factor (GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX) and 5 others who will follow the form factor micro ATX (it all starts with B550M). In fact, the latter models are the non-variant of AORUS for this board manufacturer (with the exception of one of the models), so it's easy to imagine that they will be basic and cheap models for users.
GIGABYTE has also registered 4 new models for the Intel Comet Lake-S
After a list of motherboard models that GIGABYTE has registered with ECC, there are 4 models of boards that will feature this new processor Intel Comet Lake-S. These boards will mount the next highest quality chipset Intel Z490, which these new processors will bring to the market.
