For the most part, these are the most general specs any mini PC should have to run the mentioned games. We ignore connectivity, since currently all have HDMI, several USB 3.0 or WiFi 5. In addition, most already have USB-C and DisplayPort connectors. It would be rare to find one of these compact computers that did not have at least the first three connections.
Our choices according to these criteria
You always have to set a budget and in our case it was 500 dollars. All of the Mini PCs we have chosen are worth less than this amount and meet the four points above. You can spend more, obviously, but we think that’s a good cut and there are some pretty good options within that limit.
FORUM MINIS UM350
This first option is quite interesting, it does not have state-of-the-art hardware, but it can handle eSports titles. It is processor based AMD Ryzen 5 3550H, which is really powerful. We have a processor 4 cores and 8 threads
According to RAM memoryTo 16 GB DDR4 @ 3200 MHz and a 256 GB M.2 SSD, which we miss, says it all. Regarding connectivity, it has WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Additionally, it has four USB 3.1 ports, one USB-C, one Ethernet port, and one HDMI.
The most economical option that can be found on the market and the most complete. The big problem is the storage, very tight. You can buy it at:
TRIGKEY 5500U
We’re now going with a much more modern (and powerful) processor-based option. It is processor based AMD Ryzen 5 5500U of 6 cores and 12 threads which can reach up to 4 GHz. It incorporates a AMD RX Vega 7 graphics card @ 1800 MHz A processor capable of running eSports games and even more modern games.
This system has 16 GB DDR4 in a dual channel configuration and a 500 GB M.2 SSD. A very good combination, fulfilling what is needed today. Regarding connectivity, it offers WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. In addition, it has four USB 3.0 ports, one USB-C, one Ethernet port and two HDMI connectors.
Very good system, which gives us enough power to play Fortnite and CS:GO. You can buy it on Amazon on sale for 373 dollars, although it normally costs 429 dollars.
Beelink SER5
It’s literally the exact same system as above, but from a different vendor. The chassis changes slightly, but the specs are exactly the same
Both have the same processor, the AMD Ryzen 5500U, which is a very good processor for gaming. He also has 16 GB of RAM memory in dual-channel configuration and a 500 GB M.2 SSD ability. Connectivity is also repeated, with WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, four USB 3.0, one USB-C and two HDMI.
This model is a little more interesting, since the upper part is in grid format, allowing better air circulation. You can buy it at:
FORUM MINIS UM450
This is perhaps the worst of all the options on this list and now you will understand why. Here we have a processor AMD Ryzen 5 4500U of 6 cores and 6 threads which reaches 4.0 GHz in Boost mode. This processor incorporates a graphics card AMD RX Vega 6 @ 1500 MHz It’s a worse processor than the two previous models, so it’s not an interesting system.
It is completed by 16 GB DDR4 in dual-channel configuration and has a 512 GB M.2 SSD ability. These aspects are very good, falling within the parameters specified at the beginning. Regarding connectivity, it has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. In addition, it has a USB 3.2 Type-C port, a USB 3.0 Type-C, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0, as well as an Ethernet port and two HDMI.
It’s not a bad system, but of course we’ve already seen two with more modern and powerful processors. If you are interested, you have it on Amazon for 460 dollars.
ACEMAGICIAN 5600U
The last of the options we offer you is the one we like the most for different reasons. The first uses the processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600U with 6 cores and 12 threads that reach up to 4.2 GHz. This processor has a graphics card AMD RX Vega 7 @ 1800 MHz which is ideal for gaming.
He has 32 GB DDR4 in Dual Channel configuration, a brutal sum that makes us recommend this system. Count with a 512 GB M.2 SSD of capacity that we can swap for a unit up to 4TB and has a second M.2 slot that also supports units up to 4TB.
Another of its strengths is connectivity. It has four USB 3.0 and one USB-C compatible with DisplayPort. It also has HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort on the back. Wireless connectivity is a weak point, as it has WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2.
Something “curious” is that this system has RGB, which allows great customization. You can buy it on Amazon on sale for 499 dollars, when its normal price is 600 dollars.
