This provides flexibility when integrating our configuration into any type of box.
The use of riser cards has become fashionable with certain types of boxes
The beginning of the use of the riser card is not available for PC users. The first of its uses can be found at servers

Since most expansion cards are only made at a height higher than what is available on a rack, the riser card allows it to be positioned at 90º rotation compared to the standard one. What allows a better use of space inside the server rack.
Ideally, this type of use has been provided for these devices in a specific type of PC: HTPC of reduced size. For them, it is impossible to place graphics cards of standard height, so many turn to using these devices to be able to install on them. Also, as is already the case with server racks, they increase various program performance.
Now, they have become fashionable in boxes that allow for graphics card mount. Since, to do this kind of meeting, you need an elevator card. Or in boxes that carry graphics to different locations than usual. As a separate room is the mainboard where the computer board goes.
