During the last CES 2024 organized in Las Vegas, we saw different bets in the field of mini PCs focused on a gaming audiencedevices with dedicated graphics, the manufacturer ASUS being the one that is most committed to this segment, even if it is not the only one and to which we must add the new mini PC that Minisforum has just presented.
Veteran mini PC manufacturer Minisforum has just officially presented a new model that is part of this manufacturer’s Neptune series, the HX100G
Mini PC Minisforum HX100G
This new model comes to the market as a natural successor to the HX99G and is managed by the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS with the graph Radeon RX 6650M with 8 GB of GDDR6.
While it is true that these are not the most modern components that AMD currently offers on the market, with the 8000 and 7000M series already available, it is undoubtedly an offering that is more than interesting which surpasses the performance of the HX99G, a mini PC from the same manufacturer, which includes the Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and the Radeon RX 6600M graphics card.
But the HX100G is not the only mini PC aimed at an audience that needs a powerful small PC, since it also runs on the HX200G. This equipment, the release date of which is currently unknown, will be managed by the Ryzen 9 7945HX accompanied by the Radeon RX 6650M graphics card.

The Ryzen 7 7840HS has 8 cores and 16 threads, integrates the Radeon 780M graphics card with RDNA 3 architecture and has a TDP which varies between 35 and 54W. As for the dedicated graphics card, the Radeon 6650M, it is based on this architecture Navi 23with the same number of cycles as the RX 6600M.
The main difference between the RX 6600M and the RX 6650M is in the clock speed in the 3 usual modes, since it goes from the base 1867 MHz to 2068 MHz. In game mode, it goes from 2177 MHz to 2222 MHz and in turbo. in mode, it goes from 2248 to 2416 MHz.
Pricing and connectivity
