ASUS, Xiaomi and HP among others have seen how to define new types of laptops online, with access to 6 different types of APUs in the community. These versions are Ryzen 5 4600HS, Ryzen 5 4600H, Ryzen 7 4800HS, Ryzen 7 4800H and the hypothetical Ryzen 9 4900H which is probably the most powerful version ever seen for the APU on AMD.
From 15 watts to 45 watts and 8 cores and 16 threads
Data is interrelated and chaotic, so let's try to get organized in this regard. Apparently, the Ryzen 9 4900H and Ryzen 7 4800H will be the first AMD APU with 8 characters and 16 cables, which means double, at least, the performance of the current 3000 series.
This puts AMD on the same operating track with Intel and Core i9-H processors, to the point that it guarantees that these two APUs will run at a basic frequency of 2.3 GHz with Boost of 4.8 GHz. Instead, nothing more than the Ryzen 7 4800HS is alluded to, which also apparently will share 45 watts of its two brothers and SMT.
These three processes have been seen at the retailer within the new range of ASUS GA401 and GA502 laptops, where the cheapest price is set at 1201 euros.
As for the Ryzen 7 4700U, details that have come under PCMark 10 have nailed the 18% in front of the 3700U. This APU will come with four cores and eight threads (not very clear including SMT) with a base frequency 2 2HHz and a boost of 4.2 GHz, because of this 2.8% faster than the rest of Ice Lake i7-1065G7.
This seems to be in response to the development of the IMC memory controller, which we would support up to 4266 MHz, in conjunction with LPDDR4X.
The 4600 series could come with four cores with SMT
Although there are no leaks in this regard Ryzen 5 4600H and Ryzen 5 4600HSIt all shows that they can come as quadcores with 8 active threads, which will lower your expectations with Ryzen 7 4700U. Obviously, some leaks indicate that if it is going to take over SMT is activated, and others who would be an 8-processor without SMT.
Therefore, the Ryzen 5 range should be low in performance even within the processor range, where consideration is reached 6 cores and 12 threads instead of 4 and 8 respectively.
As we can see, everything is in the air now, and although 3DMark has learned the benefits of the said APU, it is not quite clear what the 4700U configuration will be, as this would mark that of the H range with a simpler size.
