Samsung launched the flagship foldable phone in August last year, alongside the smaller Z Flip 3. The phones launched alongside the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2, refreshing Samsung’s mobile, audio and wearable ranges for 2021.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 deals
Save $850 in the US
If you buy directly from Samsung, the phone is available for $600 off, or just $1,199, with further discounts available if you trade in an older phone. If you prefer, you can reduce the discount to just $250, but get yourself a free Freestyle projector with it, worth $799 on its own.
It’s even cheaper elsewhere if you’re happy to commit to a carrier, with Best Buy offering up to $850 off if you want an AT&T-locked phone, making the phone just $949. Verizon customers can get it for $999, while it starts at $1,349 unlocked.
Save £600 in the UK
The best deal by far right now comes from Amazon: you can save a whopping £610, getting the 256GB model for just £989, although there’s no such discount on the top storage version .
If that deal ends, the next best bet is Laptops Direct: you can save £400 on the 256GB model, getting it for just £1,199, or you can buy a Z Fold 3 with twice the storage ( 512GB) for £1,299.

Currently the biggest contract deals in the UK are increasing data allowances so you can get anywhere from 100GB to unlimited data with the handset. Contract deals in the US offer the phone for free in some cases when you trade in your old device and sign up for an unlimited plan.

What’s new in the Galaxy Z Fold 3?
With a focus on productivity, one of the biggest updates to the Z Fold 3 is support for the S Pen, which Samsung already offers on its Note and Galaxy Tab S line of tablets. Now customers can choose between the S Pen Fold Edition or the S Pen Pro for use with the Z Fold 3. Both S Pens have special retractable tips designed to protect the screens from excessive force. Samsung is giving customers a free S Pen for purchase in select markets.

Other Fold 3 productivity highlights include a new taskbar for faster and easier access to apps, and “Flex mode,” which allows users to multitask on both screens. Fold 3 owners can, for example, use one half of the phone for video calls (with optimized support for Microsoft Teams) and the other half for note taking.
There is also greater durability. Samsung promises the Fold 3 can withstand folding up to 200,000 times, while new IPX8 water resistance, an “Armor Aluminum” chassis – which Samsung says is the strongest aluminum used on a phone – and a Gorilla Glass Victus display that’s “80% more durable than previous devices,” also join the list of durability upgrades.
