It was 2018 when Marvel released Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in theaters, and since then the film has gone on to become one of the biggest hits in franchise history.
We’re not surprised that Marvel wanted to keep telling us the story of Black Phantom, so a few months ago we got the good news that Black Phantom 2 would be released in 2022.
We now have an official date and many other news about the second installment of Black Panther.
When was Black Panther 2 released?
Let’s start by solving one of the most important doubts: the film of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2 will hit theaters on November 11, 2022.
As well as being theatrically released, it’s likely to be released on Disney Plus as well, since all Marvel movies can be seen on that platform.
What is the plot of Black Panther 2 about?
First up, one of the biggest questions about Black Panther 2 has been answered: what will happen to TChalla?
As you may know, the character of TChalla will come to life thanks to actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away on August 28, 2020 from colon cancer.
Marvel Studios Vice President Victoria Alonso has announced that they will not be replacing Chadwick. Which means that TChalla will disappear from the narrative of the story.
“Our king sadly died in real life, not just fiction, and we’re taking some time to see how we go back in history and what we’re doing to honor this chapter of what happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so terrible, in fact“, explains Victoria Alonso.

Who will form the cast of Black Panther 2?
In this new opus we will find the main actors and actresses of the cast: Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright or Winston Duke are some examples.
One of the new actresses we will see will be the British Michaela Coel, creator of two very successful series in the United Kingdom: I could destroy you and Chewing gum. Domique Thorne will be another of the new faces in the film, in addition to singer Donald Glover, although the latter is still a rumor to be confirmed.
