Bridgerton season 3 plot
The third season of the series is primarily based on Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the fourth novel in the series written by Julia Quinn. This time the story focuses on Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.
As the season 3 description says:
Penelope finally moved on from her longtime crush on Colin after hearing his derogatory comments about her last season. She has, however, decided that it is time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. But lacking confidence, Penelope’s attempts at the marriage market fail spectacularly.
Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he is disheartened to realize that Penelope, the only person who always appreciated him for who he was, is giving him the cold shoulder. Eager to regain his friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope by giving her confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start to work too well, Colin must wonder if his feelings for Penelope are really just friendly.
Complicating things for Penelope is her breakup with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope’s growing presence in the world makes it all the more difficult to keep her alter a secret. Lady Whistledown’s ego.
