Since the launch of Electronic Arts and Maxis in September 2000 The Simsthe life simulators had been a bit monotonous and lacking in life (this is not a joke). But since the creation of Will Wright triumphed, many have tried to clone the formula for success, without success. Until we come to this game that gives an extra, deeper point to the experience of controlling other people’s lives.
Indeed, what we are offering you today is a game that has surely passed under your radar and it is perhaps time for you to devote some time to it, because its approach is as original as it is strange. And that’s it Apartment story
When a game with The Sims goes a little further
The game is the work of Blue Rider Interactive and we must recognize the point of originality that it gave to what was a simple title based on Sims. That is, characters that we must control and allow them to live their lives to the fullest by doing what they should or what they need: get up, wash, eat breakfast, lunch or dinner and of course have fun. But what happens when all actions of interaction with others Sims Will they go beyond simple chatter in unintelligible language like that used in Electronic Arts developments?
Well the result is Apartment storya game in which we manage the life of Arthur, an unemployed writer who lives locked in his apartment without seeming to have anything interesting to do apart from the daily tasks that we all carry out, many times, unconsciously and automatically. However, unlike The Simscompleting many of these tasks will not be easy and believe us, it will take blood, sweat and tears to complete them. Preparing food, for example, is almost like a game in itself, where you have to go to the refrigerator and, one by one, take out each ingredient and then mix them on the table.
But that day, a former roommate, Dianne, appears and tells us the story of an object that was left in what was her room and this is what will trigger the story of Apartment story: a weapon, a dangerous boyfriend and a mystery that we will soon want to solve and which, you never know, will help Arthur write his next novel.
A much more sophisticated Sim
It is Apartment story You already have it available in Steam at an unbeatable price of only 6.83 dollars (and it does not require much PC) so, surely, the experience will be worth it since there will not be many opportunities to experience part of The Sims as if it were a narrative novel, with twists and turns and unpredictable endings that you might not expect. Are you going to try it?
Of course, the combination is promising. You don’t think so?
