Casio launches its first ever “smart ring” CRW-001-1JR to mark the 50th anniversary of its first ever digital watch.
The smart ring has the same shape as a Casio wristwatch, except that it fits your finger. The Verge writes that although the case measures just an inch, it can accommodate an LCD screen that can display hours, minutes, and seconds.
The smart ring also has three buttons that can control additional functions such as displaying the date or time in a different time zone. There is also a stopwatch, a built-in light and an alarm function.
The battery should last around two years of use before needing to be replaced – so it’s a bit different from the Samsung Galaxy Ring and Oura Ring 4.
The CRW-001-1JR will be released in Japan in December and will cost 19,800 yen, or around £100/$127.
