Today we are going to see what temperature it can reach, what would happen and even if we could fry an egg in it.
Fry an egg, is it possible?
To answer this question, we are going to see what maximum temperature a computer processor can withstand without shutting down.
A working CPU will fall between normal values between 30°C and 60°C. It changes if we use the processor with a game or a powerful program because can reach 80°C or even 90°C. The current ones are set up for them and that shouldn’t be a problem.
But, what happens with a processor that has cooling problems and that we put to the maximum? Here things change. In this case, we could exceed the 100 degrees
Keep in mind that many processors today have a security limit. After a certain number of degrees and temperature, they would turn off automatically, thus avoiding damage.
However, would 100°C be enough to cook with the CPU? The answer is yesand it is that with this temperature we could not only cook a piece of meat slowly, but we could even cook an egg!
It can be fun and even make you want to try it, but be aware of the risks involved. You might find yourself without a computer for this, although if you’re sick of it overheating, shutting down and don’t want to know anything else about it, this is a good way to give it a second use . Who was going to tell you that you had a kitchen in the room and you didn’t know it.
Seriously, this is something quite absurd and we don’t know who came up with it, I guess you were tired of your PC, you would see temperatures over 100 degrees and you thought why not? There is always someone who surprises us. We’ve already seen how people cook a fried egg on the bonnet of a car or even on a sidewalk in Andalucia on a 40 degree day, so it wasn’t going to be less of a computer.
There are plenty of videos on YouTube of people cooking everything from meat to sausages and even the legendary fried egg. If you want to see them it is easy to find them and the truth is that they are funny, at least to see something different. Of course, if you dare to do it, put a container so that it cooks better, do not do it directly, at least if you do not want to die poisoned by the metals and components of the processor itself.
So now you know. Yes you can cook with a computer. Now it’s up to you to decide what you intend to do with this information.
