Despite the trend towards all-in-one liquid cooling, which is more aesthetic than functional, air heat sinks remain the most popular solution. They require much less maintenance, dissipate heat better and offer greater durability.
We can even achieve greater efficiency in heat dissipation, provided we generate a good airflow. The big problem with many modern boxes is that they have a closed front, which significantly reduces airflow.
Cryorig Surprise Announces New Heat Sink
Unexpectedly, the British manufacturer Cryorig has announced the new TE10 heatsink compatible with the latest Intel and AMD processors. This heatsink features a dual-tower system with a total of ten black heat pipes. This heatsink includes two 120 mm fans with RGB lighting.
What is very interesting about this cooler is that it uses Cryorig’s Jet Fin acceleration system. This system uses a larger air inlet and a narrower outlet. Accelerated compression, air speed, improved performance and heat dissipation efficiency.
Two 120mm fans designed by Cryorig themselves have been included in this heatsink. They feature five specially curved blades to provide the greatest airflow possible. They have these FDB bearings and dampers on the outer casing of the fan. These fans offer an operating range of between 800 RPM and 1,800 RPM, with a noise level of between 19 dBA and 26 dBA.
This new TE10 has dimensions of 120 x 133 x 152 mm. Full compatibility with any RAM memory module is guaranteed, something we consider essential. Regarding processor compatibility, it is compatible with AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets, as well as Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851 of the next Arrow Lake.
It is true that aesthetically, because it is a sober double-column heatsink in black, it does not particularly attract attention. In reality, whether it is colorful or weird does not matter, what matters is that it does its job perfectly: dissipating heat. It also does not include any type of screen, like some models we saw at Computex 2024, which do not contribute anything to heat dissipation.
On the Cryorig side, no price of the new TE10 heatsink has been communicated nor any release date. But, you should know that the brand’s radiators are traditionally quite expensive. Now, it must compete with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 which costs 36 dollars.
Without a doubt, the price of these heatsinks will mark the success or failure of this new heatsink. We strongly fear that this is the brand’s last attempt to establish itself in the market, because a failure could lead to the dissolution of the company.
