James Cameron takes us back to the world of Pandora with Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to the 2009 movie Avatar, which still holds the crown of highest-grossing film of all time.
Lasting over three hours, this visual spectacle is packed with new captions and spellbinding action sequences. However, you might be wondering if there are any bonus scenes to remember at the end of the movie.
We have everything you need to know. You can also check when Top Gun: Maverick will be available to stream.
Does Avatar: The Way of Water have a post-credits scene?
No, there is no post-credits scene in Avatar 2.
So unless you want to enjoy the animated credits in all their glory, there’s no need to stay in the movies, especially if you need to stretch your legs after this long time.
Will there be more Avatar movies?
In theory, yes. James Cameron outlined a plan that includes three more films, giving us a lot more time to explore Na’vi his tory.
Here’s when the movies are currently scheduled to release:
- Avatar 3 (rumored to be titled Avatar: The Seed Bearer) – December 20, 2024
- Avatar 4 (rumored to be titled (Avatar: The Tulkun Rider) – December 18, 2026
- Avatar 5 (rumored to be titled Avatar: The Quest for Eywa) – December 22, 2028
Of course, these dates could be subject to change, depending on how the development process unfolds. Avatar 2 was originally slated for a 2014 release, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see some – if not all – of these films delayed.
The progression of all the films could also depend on the profitability of The Way of Water. Avatar 3 was filmed following Avatar 2, so we’d expect to see at least that movie release – which Polygon says could still end the overall story, if necessary.
