If one of our son’s favorite hobbies is Fortnite and he does it on a gaming PC or console, we don’t need to monitor the clock at all times to know how long he’s been plays thanks to the new time control function that has been created, including Epic Games.

How Fortnite Time Limits Work
It works very similar to Windows parental controls. When there are 30 minutes left in the allotted time, a message will be displayed. on-screen notification. Once the timer expires, you will not be able to continue playing until the next time window you set.
From the notification, if we set it this way during the setup process, you will have the option to request more usage time. Upon request, we will receive an email with a link allowing us to extend the time available only during this session.
How to set time limits in Fortnite
The first thing to do is to access the section Parental Control from the Epic website available through this link and enter the data of the Epic account on which we want to establish the time limit.
From the drop-down list displayed in this section, click and select the option Time limit
Next, we check that the time zone matches ours and, then, we click on Set limits.
In the Fortnite timeout options we have two options:
- Establish one or more daily usage schedules with a set time limit.
- Set different schedules for each day of the week with a defined time limit.
If we want to establish one or more daily usage times for each day of the week with a Fortnite usage time limit, click To modify and a window will appear on the right side where you will need to establish the schedule and game time. Once the schedule and game time are established, click on Keep.
But, if we want to create a different schedule and time of use for each day of the week, in order to give it more freedom on weekends, from the main page where we are we must activate the switch Set custom daily schedules
Once the schedule has been established, you must click on Keep.
Temporarily extend the duration of use
When the minor requests to extend the duration of use of Fortnite, we will receive an email. If we do not want the minor to have the possibility to extend the deadline, we can uncheck the box Allow requests for additional time by email located right at the end of this section.
