Last April, the official Twitter account of Downton abbey has announced that the entire cast of the series is preparing for the second film adaptation of Julian Fellowes’ creation, directed by Simon Curtis.

Thus, Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern will reprise their roles as Robert and Cora Crawley, the Earl and Countess of Grantham. His daughters Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Edith (Laura Carmichael) will also be featured in the new adaptation.
As for the Downton Workers, we will see the return of Charles Carson (Jim Carter), Elsie Hughes (Phyllis Logan), John Bates (Brendan Coyle), Anna Bates (Joanne Froggatt), Joseph Molesley (Kevin Doyle), among others.
New additions were also announced: Hugh Dancy (Hannibal), Laura Haddock (guardians of the galaxy), Dominic West (Thread, The case) y Nathalie Baye (Catch Me If You Can). It is not known what role they will play in the film.
