Paramount + will be one of the new platforms we’ll see this year, however, it’s not something too new. On the one hand, Paramount + already exists, which until now consisted of a transmission platform called CBS All Access.
So it’s actually a name change that will bring other new features as well. The media conglomerate that makes up the company explained that Paramount is a much more recognized brand than CBS, because of the name change.
In contrast, the service itself is nothing new because as you already know, there are currently a good handful of platforms that do the same. We mean Netflix, HBO, or Amazon Prime Video.
Paramount + will therefore have to work very well on its strategy to convince an audience that already pays subscriptions for other platforms.
When will Paramount + be available?
On February 24 there will be a special event in which the name change will officially take place. It will be March 4 when the platform begins to operate, although initially it will not be available in all countries.
However, almost all Spanish-speaking countries are in luck as Latin America enters the territories in which Paramount + will be available on March 4, along with the United States and Canada.
A few weeks later, on March 25, Paramount + will also arrive in the Nordic countries and Australia.
Paramount has confirmed that the service will also reach Europe at some point, but no exact date has yet been officially confirmed.
How much will Paramount + cost?
If you’ve used CBS All Access before, you’ll know the price was $ 5.99 per month. However, the price will increase to $ 9.99 per month if you want to access Paramount + content.
The price in other currencies has not yet been confirmed, but it can be estimated that it will be very similar to its dollar equivalent.
What can we see at Paramount +?
Before saying that Paramount will have to work on its differentiation from similar services. After knowing the type of varied content offered by the platform, you can get it.
Among other things, a subscription to Paramount + will give you access to live sporting events, breaking news, original series and films, as well as shows already available on Viacom CBS Network.
Its library will have more than 30,000 titles when it is launched, quite a number.
