Shopping on Black Friday sales can be tough, especially if you want a new smartwatch, but this deal makes your life a whole lot easier.
If you're considering a new Android-compatible smartwatch, I highly recommend the Galaxy Watch FE right now as one of the best value smartwatches for most people. This is definitely the cheapest Samsung model I've seen on Black Friday, marked down to the lowest price ever.
It's only available in one specification but in a few different colors, making pricing and comparison easier. The watch usually costs £199 in the UK, but Amazon has dropped the price to just £168 for Black Friday.
That's a savings of 16%, which isn't the biggest discount figure, but it brings this smartwatch to its lowest price ever.
A few other retailers, such as John Lewis and Currys, are offering the watch at a similar price – just £1 more. The latter offers 4 months of Apple TV+, which could make it more valuable overall.
But if you want the Galaxy Watch FE at its best price, this Amazon deal is for you. Be wary of other listings on Amazon in the £110-£120 range, all of which are listed by third-party sellers without many reviews. We suggest you stick to the real deal!
In the US, there's a slightly better deal on Samsung's entry-level 2024 smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch FE usually costs $200, but it dropped to $126.71 for Black Friday sales. Note that you only get one year of warranty instead of three like in the UK, but the bigger savings make this deal hard to beat.
However, if you want to take advantage of one of these deals, you'll need to be quick. Amazon's Black Friday sales are expected to end after Cyber Monday on December 2but with the items on offer, they could sell this smartwatch before then.
In our review, we said the FE had a “sleek, classic” design and “particularly impressive” automatic activity detection and sleep tracking. It may be a refurbished Galaxy Watch 4, but deals like this make it much more tempting.

This smartwatch is neither too big nor too heavy, weighing only 26.6g. The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE only comes in one 40mm size.
Although big smartwatch fans may be disappointed, the 1.2-inch super AMOLED sapphire glass display is a decent size and large enough that taps aren't finicky – although the bezel is the one of the thickest on the market.
You can use this watch both in the rain and in the swimming pool, thanks to its IP68 and 5ATM water resistance ratings.
There are a wide range of health and fitness tracking options available on the Samsung Galaxy FE, but it's worth saying up front that you'll get the most out of the features if you have a companion Samsung phone .
