The plot of the Gentlemen
As mentioned, The Gentlemen is a spin-off series from the 2020 Guy Ritchie film. It tells a whole new story with completely different characters, but its heart is the same: it’s the story of a resilient drug empire and a gang of witty criminals. But this time, members of the British aristocracy play a more important role.
The Gentlemen is the story of Eddie Horniman, who has just inherited the title of Duke of Halstead and a rundown estate with a basement full of surprises that divert his life down a whole new path .
As the series description says:
The Gentlemen sees Eddie Horniman (Theo James) unexpectedly inherit his father’s sizable country estate – only to discover he is part of a cannabis empire. What’s more, a host of unsavory characters from the British underworld want in on the operation. Determined to free his family from his clutches, Eddie attempts to play the gangsters at their own game. However, as he gets drawn into the world of crime, he begins to take a liking to it.
